On the upcoming May 13th the President of QW Wine Experts will be participating in the National Trade Fair on Wine, where she will be talking about wine market trends in the United States
Nora Z. Favelukes, President of QW Wine Experts and consultant dedicated to public relations, marketing and sales of imported wines, will be participating on May 13th at FENAVIN, the National Trade Fair on Wine, which is set to take place from May 12th to the 14th at the Trade Fair Grounds in Ciudad Real, where she will be imparting a lecture on the "wine market trends in the United States".
With over 100 million consumers and 329 million cases of wine sold in the year 2013, the United States is undoubtedly one of the most dynamic and attractive export markets for the promotion and sale of wines from around the world. In the year 2013 Spain was the sixth importer in volume of wines to the United States, following Italy, Australia, France, Chile and Argentina. This is confirmed by Nora Z. Favelukes who will be discoursing on the characteristics, trends and opportunities to be found in this market that is under constant growth, the same during a conference that will be coordinated by the Ciudad Real Chamber of Commerce and that is included in the activities covering foreign trade and economy that the trade fair is organizing.
The President of QW Wine Experts first visited the FENAVIN Trade Fair in the year 2013. "The National Trade Fair on Wine is an excellent sampling of Spain"s current wine-growing sector. The tasting sessions per type of wine that take place on the upper floor are just fabulous", Favelukes mentions in reference to the trade fair"s Wine Gallery.
She likewise assures that "FENAVIN is an exclusively national trade fair, while others such as Prowein, Vinexpo or London Wine Fair are international fairs with exhibitors from all wine producing countries". Hence she can affirm that at the National Trade Fair on Wine it is possible to find "the complete range of wines that the wine-growing sector in Spain has to offer".
THE AMERICAN CONSUMER: YOUNG, CURIOUS AND VERY INTERESTED
According to Nora Z. Favelukes "the American consumer is young, curious and very interested in learning about wines from the whole world. They are in search of wines with a good profile of aromas and fresh flavors".
Although consumption of wine is not as yet part of the everyday lifestyle of the population of the United States in that referring to their diet, "consumption of wine is still growing, even though so far it does not form an integral part of the American culture".
The recommendations of the President of QW Wine Experts to those who wish to sell their wine on the American market are to "evaluate their portfolio so that they can identify the potential of their wines, the same based on a style that is favored by the American consumer; excellent quality-price ratio and the export volume to the American market".
She also proposes that "different types of importers should be evaluated to find those that best adapt to their portfolio, that is, whether they are national or regional or if they are focused on sales to important chains, liquor stores or restaurants".
She finally suggests "creating a "partnership" relationship with the importer: visiting the market and developing initiatives aimed at promoting sales with the importer and the network of distributors".
