FIVE Ciudad Real RESTAURANT OWNERS HONORED IN RECOGNITION OF THEIR SUPPORT TO THE PROJECT "BETTER WITH WINE"

They have promoted consumption of wine in their establishments along with the perfect combination of wine and dishes

The Ciudad Real Provincial Corporate Association of Hotels, Restaurants and Tourism celebrated FENAVIN 2007's third day with a tribute to restaurant owners in recognition of their special contribution to the project "Better with Wine" and for their favoring of the different wineries registered in the project.

The honored entrepreneurs have been: José Macías Valls, of the Restaurant Miami Park in Ciudad Real; Belén García Castro, of the Tavern Restaurant Octavio in Ciudad Real; Javier Nuñez-Barranco, of the Hotel Restaurant El Cruce de Manzanares; Montserrat Carazo, of the Hosteria de Almagro Valdeolivo in Almagro and José Crespo Garcia, of the Hotel Restaurant Casa Pepe de Carrión in Calatrava (Ciudad Real).

Teófilo Arribas and Alfonso Monsalve were in charge of presenting them with a complete set of Cabernet Wine Glasses and Decanters, as well as with a temperature-controlled Wine Cabinet with capacity for 120 bottles.

The program "Better with Wine" is an initiative that saw the light more than a year ago. The program is promoted by CEOE-CEPYME through the Provincial Associations of Hotel, Restaurants and Wine Industries, respectively presided over by Teófilo Arribas and Alfonso Monsalve and also in collaboration with the University of Castilla-La Mancha, the same developed with the aim of increasing the prestige and image of wine throughout the Ciudad Real geography.

The project "Better with Wine" was created to favor consumption of wine and, altogether, to strengthen this sector even more. The Provincial Government of Ciudad Real, promoter of FENAVIN, supports this initiative, which consists in training instructors so that, in turn, they can train professionals whose activities are related with wine, in particular in all that concerning consumption in restaurants and hotels.
