THREE THOUSAND KILOGRAMS OF GLASS, 9000 BOTTLES, HAVE ALREADY BEEN COLLECTED AT FENAVIN 2007

The novel glass collecting system that the Provincial Consortium for Waste Material RSU, along with 'Ecovidrio' has set up for this 4th National Trade Fair on Wine is working extremely well. As already at the equator of the trade fair, that is to say during the first two days, a total of 3000 kilograms of glass have been collected, close to 9000 bottles, most of which will be recycled.

Francisco Espinosa, President of RSU, highlighted the fantastic reception that this initiative has had, the same representing distribution of about 60 small green containers throughout the FENAVIN 2007 grounds.

Javier Moreno, Manager for RSU, pointed out that despite the fact that at the beginning people thought that the purpose of the containers was for cardboard boxes or organic garbage, and there was just a tiny bit of confusion, by the second day everybody had become aware of how they worked, constantly placing all the bottles to be found inside the same.

Both RSU, which depends on the Provincial Government, as well as Ecovidrio trust that the end of the Trade Fair will have collected more than 6000 kilograms of glass.
