"A winery must have numerous aspects guaranteed before trying to sell abroad", explained Rafael Martínez Horcajo, Representative of International Trade for the Banco de Sabadell, who at FENAVIN today offered a chat called "Banco Sabadell, Agricultural Business, a Secure Wager" along with Benigno Fernández Serrano, Territorial Delegate of the Agricultural Sector of the Banco de Sabadell in Castilla-La Mancha.

"A company requires support in exporting from all points of view, not only financially, which is also very important, because it responds to an important fear that is based on whether the entrepreneur is able to obtain payment for the merchandise that is sold", indicated Martínez Horcajo.

Along with the Banco de Sabadell there are a number of specialized companies working on the project "Export to Grow", such as the Despacho Garrigues, AENOR or Sergi Arola himself. "We are backing the companies in all aspects, overcoming all sorts of hindrances, from the language barriers right through to the difficulties involving transport or the need for insurance", he insisted, to then highlight that, further beyond the important wineries, "there are still many small wineries that want to go abroad and it is precisely to them that we offer this type of support".

Martínez Horcajo also mentioned that despite the fact that specific support for the agricultural world and its foreign trade project is quite recent, "this bank saw the light precisely at the end of the 19th Century to support the exporter; hence we enjoy broad-spanning experience to contribute to the modern agricultural business".

"Our goal at this trade fair –he assures- is to come into contact with companies and help them develop their business plans, offering them an extensive catalog of products and specialized services".

"Being at FENAVIN is essential"

In as far as the trade fair is concerned, both of them underscored that "being at FENAVIN is essential because it is a fabulous showcase for our country"s wine industry. We are convinced that the current edition will be an absolute success, as has been the case with the previous editions", they concluded.
