The National Trade Fair on Wine has hosted the 5th edition of the 'Fomento de la Calidad en la Restauración' Awards Ceremony of the National Association of Spanish Maîtres d'hôtel and Waiters
The President of FENAVIN, Nemesio de Lara, was in charge of presenting the Special Award to Promotion of Quality in the Restaurant Sector that is granted biannually by the National Association of Spanish Maîtres d'hôtel and Waiters (AMYCE), at this year's National Trade Fair on Wine, with the award going to Josep Roca of the restaurant Celler Can Roca, establishment that has just recently been recognized as the second best restaurant in the world according to the prestigious British publication 'Restaurant'.
Nemesio de Lara recognized the important work that the Association of Maîtres d'hôtel and Waiters is carrying out; thanking them for the inestimable collaboration they have always had with FENAVIN's organization. "Without you this trade fair would have been impossible", he said, highlighting the close bonds that the dining room professional has with the customers. On his part, the laureate, Josep Roca, conveyed his enormous satisfaction in receiving the award, likewise extending his thanks to his brothers, Joan and Jordi, his family and the restaurant world, in recognition of the work of these professionals.
The other awards went to the CETT Group (Barcelona School of Hospitality and Tourism), as the best school; Hotels Silken, award to the best hotel chain; Editorial Prensa Ibérica Group, award to the best media group; Arturo Cantoblanco Group, award to the best hotel establishment; and San Sebastián Gastronomika, award to the best trade fair and institution.
