Just over thirty-five persons have participated in the educational tasting session that Celedonio Muñoz, President of the Ciudad Real Wine Club, has imparted this morning at FENAVIN, the National Trade Fair on Wine, which is taking place in Ciudad Real from May 10th to the 12th.

Celedonio has presented three different wines for the tasting session, a white wine, a crianza wine and a reserve wine from the winery Valle García, located in the Montes de Toledo, with the Pagos de Castilla Qualified Denomination certification, representing a winery that has just been recently created and that has included R&D and innovation in its working methods.

Prior to the tasting session itself, the President of the Ciudad Real Wine Club, has introduced the participants into the world of wine and responsible consumption by way of a sensorial analysis, first with a theoretical analysis to then continue with practical cases, commenting each one of the wine's attributes in full detail.

The objectives that Celedonio Muñoz pursues with these types of tasting sessions is to increase the perspective of knowledge of the culture of wine, enrich the uninitiated with profound knowledge of all that surrounding the world of wine and propitiate human contact, "because there is no better way to do this than with a glass of wine."

In the opinion of this winemaker and disseminator of the culture of wine, this product can be considered a food product, which is included in the Mediterranean diet and that consumed in moderation is beneficial to our health and to medicine. He also explained the concept of tasting, which from his point of view is a matter of observing, analyzing and enjoying the attributes of wine. In short, he said that "tasting wine is to subject it to our sensorial apparatus to then judge, describe and classify it."

Celedonio Muñoz has imparted many commented tasting sessions, among them those corresponding to the Delibo Vinum project created by the Ciudad Real Hospitality and Restaurant Association and the Impefe (Municipal Institute for Economics, Training and Employment Promotion of the Ciudad Real Town Hall), which a year ago gave rise to the Wine Club that currently has more than 130 members. Celedonio Muñoz has thanked FENAVIN's organization for the opportunity of participating in the trade fair offering one of his theoretical-practical classes and he has hailed the positive effects that organization of this national trade fair represents for Ciudad Real and Castilla-La Mancha.
