Following the signing of the collaboration agreement, the bank will contribute with 104000 Euros designated to the execution of different activities, apart from helping the region’s wineries to participate in the sixth edition of FENAVIN, which is to take place from May 10th to the 12th.
This morning the President of FENAVIN, the National Trade Fair on Wine, Nemesio de Lara and the Commercial Director General of the Banco de Castilla-La Mancha, Bernardino Fernández Rodríguez, have signed an agreement by way of which the financial institution will contribute 104000 Euros to the organization of the National Trade Fair on Wine in order to collaborate in the execution of different activities related with the event, the same based on providing information, generation of business and the promotion of Spanish wines' new values, apart from helping those companies that wish to participate in the Trade Fair.
De Lara, who was accompanied by Ángel Amador, the Trade Fair's Institutional Coordinator and Vice President of the Provincial Government, thanked the Banco CCM for its "continued trust in us, instance that confirms that the same essence of support that started in the year 2001 with the Caja de Castilla-La Mancha now persists", apart from sponsoring activities at the National Trade Fair on Wine, which will take place from May 10th to the 12th in Ciudad Real, activities that will count with outstanding personalities from the world of wine, culture, sports and health.
FENAVIN's President explained to Fernández that "his institution is backing a wine trade fair that stands among the first in the world and that is not only dedicated to the wineries and cooperatives, but also to the families that live on the wine sector", while in turn highlighting that "the Trade Fair has managed to open new export markets not only to the region's wineries, but also to many of the country's wineries".
On his part, Bernardino Fernández, who was accompanied during the institutional signing by Alfonso López, Territorial Director of the institution in Toledo and Ciudad Real, congratulated FENAVIN's President for "promoting a trade fair that is so important for the country and region, trade fair that represents an excellent opportunity for doing business, apart from the showcase of quality that it is for the companies in the sector".
The highest commercial representative of the Banco CCM also underscored the main figures corresponding to the balance of FENAVIN's 2009 edition, which reached 118000 commercial contacts made between the 1196 wineries that were present and the 3798 international buyers, coming in from 43 countries, as well as the 2150 national buyers, likewise highlighting the evaluation made by the ICEX of the fifth edition of the trade fair, defining it as "the trade fair of reference in the universal scope within the Spanish wine sector".
Fernández highlighted the fact that, despite the institution's different legal structure, "we still want to continue participating in projects that generate value for the region, as is the case with FENAVIN, an idea that is beautifully focused on families and small companies, in short, on promoting our development".
