"FENAVIN'S best publicity resides in what the professionals comment about it: there is business going on at this fair

Thus has asserted Rafael del Rey, Director General of the Observatorio Español del Mercado del Vino (Spanish Wine Market Observatory), who will present the conclusions on the study "Youth and Wine" at FENAVIN"

The Director General of the Observatorio Español del Mercado del Vino (OEMV), Rafael del Rey, considers that "The National Trade Fair on Wine's best publicity, and I have personally heard this on many occasions, is what the professionals are commenting: that there is business going on at this fair". Thus he has stated following the signing of the agreement with FENAVIN, agreement by which the OEMV, a private institution that is being promoted upon the initiative of the Spanish wineries and the Spanish Wine Federation, commits itself to collaborating in different activities during the Fair, which is to take place in Ciudad Real between the dates of the upcoming May 5th and May 7th.

In the opinion of Del Rey "an important effort has been made to make this a great fair that is successful because it has turned into a useful tool, and those participating in the fair talk about the contacts they have made and the businesses they have closed: this is an extraordinary way to become stronger and consolidated".

The highest representative of the OEMV is quite clear on the fact that the fundamental mission behind the institution he directs is "to provide the producers and wineries with an accurate overview of the market, with the consumers sharing what they think", which, in his opinion, is something that has not been done in the sector with the necessary intensity and which is "fundamental in order to sell and take good decisions". This is the reason why "transmitting the results of our analysis is so important and, in this sense, FENAVIN is the ideal place to make our evaluations known, this due to the number of wineries participating in the fair, which represent a good part of the sector".

Hence, Del Rey has chosen FENAVIN to present his study 'Youth and Wine', in which one of the main conclusions is that "nowadays the new generations seem to be far removed from the world of wine" and its consumption "is a school of moderation", as he advanced during the signing of the agreement, in which the President of the Spanish Trade Fair on Wine, Nemesio de Lara was also present, along with its Institutional Coordinator, Ángel Amador and the Trade Fair's Director, Manuel Juliá.
