Barato (ASAJA): "We congratulate the Provincial Government for the organization of FENAVIN"
The national president of ASAJA, Pedro Barato, publicly thanked the president of the National Wine Fair, Nemesio de Lara, for the good organization of FENAVIN. Barato thanked De Lara for his persistence and his determination of making ideas from the Provincial Governement actually happen".
"We have to be proud that the best world critics came to Ciudad Real and Castilla - La Mancha. They said FENAVIN is a major trade show, with a future" stated Barato. He said De Lara is "a persistent person who decided to work for and defend the productive sectors of our land, and he is achieving his goal".
Barato, who opened with De Lara the XV General Assembly of ASAJA in Castilla - La Mancha which took place in FENAVIN under the heading "Towards a new Wine CMO", stated the fair was a total success. "People are leaving and they are satisfied with the results, for instance, Victor Pascual, the winemaker with 70 000 casks in his premises, something to take into account" pointed out the agricultural leader.
De Lara made a short speech before the provincial presidents of ASAJA, from all the region and before the national and provincial president of AMFAR, Lola Merino, accompanied by numerous farmers and vine growers to whom he explained that the idea to start FENAVIN stemmed from the realization of the urgent need to support the wine sector. Not only in the wine making process but also in the producing sphere of activity "thinking about those who live on handling grapes and pruning stock, just like you do".
De Lara added that in 1999, when he first mentioned the National Wine Fair as a project "some thought we were crazy but others, like Pedro Barato, trusted us". With these words the president of FENAVIN acknowledged the back up the Ciudad Real Provincial Government has always found in the Association of young farmers, Asociación Agraria Jóvenes Agricultores (ASAJA), support received from both Barato and the provincial president, Florencio Rodríguez.
