José Luís Murcia, manager of the agency Efe-Agro, will chair the seminar "Specialized shops and consumer taste" on May 12th.
José Luís Murcia, manager of Efe-Agro, has highlighted the importance of the National Wine Fair in the sector's present national scene and he considers it can be a showcase of such importance that "it can contribute to increase wine consumption in Spain". Murcia will chair a seminar which will deal with "Specialized shops and consumer taste" during FENAVIN which will take place between 9th to 12th of May in Ciudad Real.
For José Luís Murcia, the seminar he is going to coordinate wants to offer a vision of the consumer trends as far as wine is concerned. To achieve this, different scenarios will be proposed via the people in charge of "Vinos Licorlandia" one of the oldest and most important shops in Madrid; "Valentín Moreno e Hijos" which is said to be the most outstanding wine shop in Castilla - La Mancha, the Vino Gourmet wine club and lastly "Barolo" which is more dedicated to the collection of wines.
With these presentations he thinks there will be an appropriate sampling to appreciate what the customers in our country want. Customers who, according to him, "could maintain the recent rise in moderate consumption of wine, if we include the younger people and which could stabilize if the trend continues during the next 4 to 5 years". Murcia believes FENAVIN has a lot to do with it.
Regarding the trade show, the person in charge of Efe-Agro at a national level, states it is the only national monographic wine fair where both the commercial and informative aspects of wine are addressed and complement each other.
According to this journalist, specialized in agricultural matters, the Feria National del Vino (National Wine Fair) was a surprise for many, including himself, who thought it was difficult for a fair of such dimensions and importance to be well received in Ciudad Real. Its proximity to Madrid and the connection via Ave (High Speed Train), as well as the excellent Management of Manuel Julia, were both added advantages which made it a unique event.
Furthermore, he adds, how "FENAVIN 2001 was a total success, but the real challenge came with FENAVIN 2003, which ultimately gave excellent results and finally this year which will be the consolidating event."
